POEM: "Jimmie Rodgers In China 1930"

Jimmie Rodgers In China 1930

A thousand miles away from home
I'm waiting for a train

my pocket book is empty
no one seems to want me
or lend me a helping hand
my heart is filled with sorrow
I suppose I'm going south
find me a boxcar full of women
go where the water tastes like wine
happy new year suckers
just another one going home
the moon and stars in the sky above
and I’m a sucker too.
